There are a variety of ways in which you can reuse your old tires when they are no longer suitable for driving. Tires are one of the biggest problems when it comes to waste, because there are so many of them. The elements of old tires that cause problems within the waste system can be used in constructive ways instead. Here are some unique ways to reuse old tires instead of adding them to landfills.
Adding old tires into your garden may not seem like the ideal decoration for your flowers, but with some effort they can be a great addition. Clean and prime tires and then paint them in a hue that you enjoy and lay them flat in your garden. Fill them with soil and plant your favorite flowers inside of them. It's a creative way to reuse old tires that will enhance the look of your eco-friendly garden. Another creative way to reuse tires for plants is to hang them on an outside wall, ideally on a shed. Fill the bottom of the inner tire and place flowers inside.
You can tie a rope from the tire to a tree branch and let the kids swing like Tarzan, or you can hook up chains three sides of the tire to create more of a swing. It saves plenty of money as you do not need to buy a swing set, and your kids are likely to have as much fun on the tire swing.
If you have the tools needed to cut into old tires, you can create some truly unique crafts. The tires can be used to create containers and holders for wood and magazines, and they can also be used to create tables and other kinds of furniture. In addition, tires can be cut into decor for the interior and exterior of your home. However, since the rubber is so strong on tires, it is crucial to have the proper tools needed to cut through the material.
If you can recycle and reuse your old tires, it is highly encouraged to do so. Instead of letting tires can spend a lifetime in a landfill, you can use them to provide endless hours of enjoyment in the garden, for your kids, or as craft projects.
